Chore Chart

This morning, I arose in a creative mood. A few weeks ago, I started making C.J., now my little man (age 8), a chore chart, and today I finished it. I figured it's time that he starts doing chores around the home on a regular basis.

He also says that he's recently come to the conclusion, too, that chores are better for him. He says that now that his birthday has come, he is no longer a boy, he has become a man. OMG!!!

With so much going on in that head of his, he always needs reminders. The chore chart is a good way of reminding him what needs to be done on a daily as well as weely basis. He even helped in deciding what needed to be placed on the chart.

I created this chore chart using a cabinet door, aluminum, paint, patterned paper, stickers, rub-ons, small tiles, magnets and images found on the internet.

I hope that he uses. C.J., make your Momma proud!!!

Harley Cake

For my aunt's wedding this past weekend, I was responsible for the groom's cake. I decorated german chocolate cakes with chocolate icing. I dipped strawberries in chocolate and swagged them along the side of the cake as well as placed them on each corner, added a motorcycle on top along with Harley logos throughout the cake. Waa LaaaaaH!!! It turned out wonderful.

Bulletin Board

I was able to be kreative today:)
For my sister's birthday, I "altered" a bulletin board for her. It was originally a plain off-white board with off-white ribbon attached. To go along with her office decor, I put zebra print fabric on it with hot pink and black ribbon and covered the buttons in zebra print. It turned out nice, I must say so myself. Somethimes it's hard for me to look at things I made and say that I did a good job. I don't know why, but this is the way it is for me, most of the time. Nevertheless, on this project, I have to say that, "I am the bomb." I give myself a pat on the back.

Happy Birthday, My Sissee. (I even provided her with a picture of myself to put on it.)
